Apple Pickin' Tablescape

Fall is in full swing right now,and I cant wait to dig into some delicious apple pie!  This table scape is based around APPLES!  You can see how we took the original table scape, and removed the vintage runners, replaced them with layers of burlap, and added some vintage buckets and fresh apples.
The apples were from Joannes yard. They had just started to turn when we did this shoot a month ago. I always love seeing all the variations of color in fruit as they develop.
We placed fresh apple pies inside an old vintage pie tin. We used a deep red glass plate at the bottom to give it a small pop of color and stacked with different plates to give it a textured look. Ending the stack with white gives the food a clean fresh look.  The pewter mug completes this rustic look and made us very happy!
Layers of burlap add a casual look to the table scape. We filled vintage buckets with apples both on the table and below it.  At first it was a struggle at first to make everything stand out. Once we added the ribbon, glass red plates, and the cute berries the theme finally came together perfectly and turned out just the way we wanted it to!

Love the playful pop of red the storage shed brings into the picture.
One of our little helpers for the day.

  1. I think this is like big girls playing house! How fun to get to play around in such an exquisite setting. Maybe that is all tablescaping is - we are still "playing house!" Lovely and lovely photos too.
