Alice in Wonderland Recipes

"I'm late, I'm late, for a very important date no time to say HELLO goodbye I'M LATE, I'M LATE, I'M LATE!!!"
Nothing got me more excited as a child, then watching the white rabbit in Disneys Alice in Wonderland, run onto the screen saying that line.  I knew, from then on that Alice would follow the rabbit into the rabbit hole and enter into the dreamy world of Wonderland.

Most kids I know don't exactly like tea.  So I made white hot chocolate instead so I could send them home with a lovely little sugar high for their mothers to deal with!  So just pick whatever white hot chocolate you like, and make it up!

The most important part is the Marshmallow clocks! So how did I do it?  Simple, I took extra big marshmallows, cut them in half, used an EDIBLE MARKER PEN, found in craft stores in the cake isle (Hobby Lobby sells them.)  Wrote the numbers on and called it good.  Please do not use anything but edible markers because the die does get into the chocolate eventually!

TWEEDLE DUM AND TWEEDLE DEE COOKIES
Anyone who has seen any of the Alice in Wonderland films will know that Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee CLEARLY have struggles make descisions at times, which in this case came to there cookies... so Tweedle Dee dunked his in purple sprinkles, and Tweedle Dum dunked his in blue sprinkles (as was explained to the children.)

So what did I really do... I dipped oreos in white chocolate and then dunked them in Sprinkles... very simple and very easy!
MAD HARE PEANUT BUTTER AND JAM TEA SANDWICH

Now the Mad Hare is not quite sane, and the Mad Hatter was a bit worried about his dear friend.  So he gave him a simple task of using his favorite ingredient PEANUT BUTTER!  So he just slopped on some strawberry jam and peanut butter on white bread, cut off the ends and called it good!

I tried to make up a variety of different treats at the dessert table explaining to the kids that this TEA PARTY was for the Queen of Hearts and she COMMANDED that all her servants make her a special treat for HER tea party.  So each servant made a special treat.  (Or as many as I could physically make the day before the party!)  Hope you enjoy the rest of the Recipes.

We have:
-Mad Hatter Cookies
-Cheshire Cat Cupcakes
-King of Hearts Cookies
-Eat Me Shortbread Cookies

  1. Rachel, all of the little touches make it so cute. I love the marshmallow. What a clever idea. That would be good for New Years Eve too. Your signs are so cute. Love the cups and saucers. Wish I had seen it in person, so adorable.
